Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 3, 2026
At DesktopDeck, our philosophy is simple: Your data is none of our business. We build tools to orchestrate your environment, not to monitor your behavior.
1. The "Zero Telemetry" Promise
DesktopDeck does not track, log, or transmit the contents of your Decks, the apps you install, or the scripts you run.
Local Execution: All deployment logic happens on your machine.
No Phone Home: We do not collect "usage analytics" or "feature engagement" data. We believe software should do its job silently and privately.
2. Data We Collect (And Why)
To provide the service, we only collect the bare minimum required for account management and security:
Account Information: Your email address (provided during waitlist or purchase) is used solely for authentication and sending critical service updates.
Transaction Data: We use industry-standard encrypted processors (e.g., Stripe) to handle the Founder's Pass. We never see or store your credit card details.
Support Interactions: If you email us for help, we retain that correspondence to resolve your issue.
3. Third-Party Services
DesktopDeck interacts with native package managers (WinGet, Homebrew). While we do not track your activity, these third-party tools have their own privacy policies regarding how they fetch binaries from their respective repositories.
4. No Sale of Data
We have never sold, traded, or rented user data to third parties, and we never will. Our revenue comes from the Founder's Pass, not from your personal information.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
• Request a copy of the data we have (which is essentially just your email).
• Request that we delete your account and all associated data.
• Opt-out of any non-essential communications.
6. Contact
If you have questions about our privacy practices, please contact us at privacy@desktopdeck.io. We take your privacy seriously and will respond to all inquiries promptly.
